5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Our cancellation and refund policy is intended to be fair and consistent with applicable Canadian consumer protection law. Specific course pages, booking terms, or written agreements may provide additional or more detailed cancellation rules, which will apply to the extent permitted by law.
Unless otherwise stated in writing:
- Group courses: Cancellations made before the start date may be eligible for a refund, less any non-refundable administrative or registration fee, if disclosed at the time of purchase.
- Private tutoring: Sessions must be cancelled or rescheduled within the notice period stated at booking. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged in full.
- Online lessons: Missed sessions due to student technical issues, failure to attend, or incomplete setup may not be refundable.
- Course withdrawals after commencement: Refunds, if any, may be prorated based on services already delivered, subject to applicable law and any non-refundable fees disclosed in advance.
- Exam preparation and special programs: Materials, third-party charges, or reserved seats may be non-refundable once access has been provided or the course has begun.
We may cancel or reschedule a class, tutor, or program due to insufficient enrollment, instructor illness, operational needs, safety concerns, or events beyond our control. In such cases, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to provide a substitute session, credit, transfer, or refund, as appropriate and required by law.
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected] and include the purchaser name, course name, payment details, and reason for the request. Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method within a reasonable time, subject to processing timelines of banks and payment providers.
